"Во всём мире не сыскать более гибельного места, чем Драконий Котёл. Даже просто добраться сюда - это настоящий подвиг, ведь надо пересечь Дикие Пустоши, затем, Рыжую Пустыню, и только после всего этого, посреди скал Выжженного Нагорья, вы отыщите Драконий Котёл, эпицентр древней катастрофы. Сердце Всего - так ещё иногда называют этот регион и не зря. Нет биома со столь же экстремальными условиями жизни как здесь.

Говорят, до Часа Рока, тут располагалось большое мелководное озеро, омывающее здешние скалы. Но взрыв кометы над этим местом спровоцировал столь мощную волну жара и разрушений, что большая часть воды либо испарилась, либо ушла в образовавшиеся в земле трещины. Даже сама скальная гряда подверглась изменениям, поменяв форму и очертания. Тысячи и миллионы тонн арденита выпали здесь, постепенно кристализуясь на протяжении тысячелетий.

Теперь, Драконий Котёл - это цепь громадных, изъеденных эрозией скал, со всех сторон, окруженных огромными лужами горячей воды, подогреваемой внутренними и внешними залежами арденита и его колоссальными кристаллическими формациями. Облака пара поднимаются вверх, укутывая каменные пики. Узкие каменисто-песчаные полоски суши петляют между этими водоёмами и формируют берега с минеральными отложениями. Район изобилует гидротермальными источниками, внезапные струи воды и пара, вырывающиеся из трещин в земле, могут представлять большую опасность.

Но даже в этом, безжизненном на вид месте есть свои обитатели. В основном - аберранты. Например - солнечные пальмы, хорошо приспособленные к суровым условиям, составляют основу здешней флоры. Даже в горячих водоёмах есть своя жизнь! Ракообразные и моллюски. Как им удаётся не свариться? Хотя, конечно, основная доля живых существ сосредоточена в недрах скал, в многочисленных пещерах и гротах карстового происхождения. Это всё те же рачки и слепые рыбы-панцирники, обитающие в пещерных, более холодных притоках горячих озёр, колонии подземных грибов и жучков, живущих за их счёт. Ну, и конечно - пещеры населяют гораздо более опасные и смертоносные твари, самые страшные из которых это те, в честь кого Драконий Котёл получил своё имя - дрейки. У этих ребят здесь свои логовища, тут они рождаются, живут и умирают, о чём свидетельствуют разбросанные по округе кости."

"In the whole world, there is no more ruinous place than the Dragon Cauldron. Even just getting here is a real feat, because you have to cross the Wild Wasteland, then the Ginger Desert, and only after all this, among the rocks of the Scorched Highlands, you will find the Dragon Cauldron, the epicenter of an ancient catastrophe. But the explosion of a comet over this place provoked such a powerful wave of heat and destruction that most of the water either evaporated or went into cracks formed in the earth. Even the rocky ridge itself has undergone changes, changing its shape. Thousands and millions of tons of ardenite fell out here, gradually crystallizing over the millennia.

Now, the Dragon Cauldron is a chain of immense, eroded rocks surrounded on all sides by huge pools of hot water heated by the inner and outer deposits of ardenite and its colossal crystalline formations. Clouds of steam rise upward, enveloping the rocky peaks. Narrow stony-sandy strips of land wind between these reservoirs and form shores with mineral deposits. The area is replete with hydrothermal vents, and sudden jets of water and steam erupting from cracks in the ground can be very dangerous.

But even this seemingly lifeless place has its inhabitants. Mostly aberrants. For example, sunny palms, well adapted to harsh conditions, form the basis of the local flora. Even hot water has its own life! Crustaceans and armore. How do they manage do not cook by yourself? Although, of course, the bulk of living beings is concentrated in the depths of the rocks, in numerous caves and grottoes of karst origin. These are all the same crustaceans and blind armored fish living in cave, in colder tributaries of hot lakes, colonies of underground mushrooms and bugs living at their expense. Well, and of course - the caves are inhabited by much more dangerous and deadly creatures, the most terrible of which are those in whose honor the Dragon Cauldron got its name - drakes. These guys have their lairs here, here they are born, live and die, as evidenced by the bones scattered around the area. Unfortunately, a rather meager food supply forces fire-breathing giants to fly in search of food far from their homes, hunting in the middle of the Ginger Desert or even further, in the Wild Wasteland, right up to the seashores."
