Description
This is cover to Marvel's new comic X-Men #1 featuring all the X-Ladies - Storm, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, Psylocke, Rachel Grey and Jubilee!The book ships in April 2013.
Rachel Dodson's inks were done over my pencils - she used a Windsor Newton Series 7 Kolinsky Sable Brush #2.
Here are the final colors for this done in Photoshop CS3 using my trusty 11 year old Wacom Intuos Graphics Tablet!
Really had a good time coloring this one!

Yeah, I think so, they were brand new ones and they were big. You prefer the old better, because it can rotate - I can see how that would be better.
You know what I'd like, a lightbox in my table that rotates, like the old animation tables, that'd be useful me. I'm tempted to build it myself!

I love this cover for two reasons, first it's incredibly good looking, and second, you can tell who reads comics and who is just "bawww femminism girl power check your privilege cis scum!" since the former ask what's going on with Jubilee's vampirism and know there have been all-female x-men teams before.

Jubilee isn't a Vampire any more? Should be an interesting book, given its focus and cast. Kind of weird this hasn't been done before, though.

Does Rachel use only the W&N brush? Or also some pigma or nibs to finish certain details?

On this - it's all brush. She uses Rapidograph tech pens and nibs for mechanical backgrounds.

and the line is not corrected in PS or vectorialized in illustrator to make it more precise and neat??! I'm looking at Jubilee's coat or Ororo's hands and they are too perfect! My W&N s.7 doesn't do this kind of lines!
