how can you have a lineart as pronounced?

I draw this in photoshop on two layers. First layer is basic sketch - muscles and base expression. The second layer are details, portrait similarities, clothes, ecc. IT would be harder for me to draw all in pencil, it's still too messy for me to draw such details.
