ABOUT THE LEGACY GHOST
Legacy is an interactive desktop friend called a "Ghost." You can have her do chores for you, chat with you, or just hang out on your desktop!

Legacy has over a hundred unique lines of dialogue tied to things like idle chat, questions, actions, time of day, season, month, etc. She has plenty of expressive and unique poses with idle and talking animations!
I will be sporadically updating Legacy with new dialogue, poses, menus, and functions. Later on, she might even have things like a shop and relationship system!

Legacy is a RainWing from Tui T. Sutherland’s “Wings of Fire” book series. Although the character and stories involved are mine, the world and species belong to Sutherland!

Some concerns have been brought up about safety. Legacy's full source code is available on GitHub and the program she runs on, SSP, is frequently updated and used by many developers. I wouldn't be working with malicious software!

HOW TO INSTALL
The best way to install Legacy is to join the Legacy Library Discord. The Discord has a user manual and how-to-install guide which will help you set her up quick and easy. You’re free to join, download her, and leave if you’re not interested in getting notified for regular updates or other server benefits! Remember that you must be 13+ to be on Discord.

Legacy runs using a Japanese application called SSP. You'll want to download that first. As far as I'm aware, SSP can run on both Windows and Mac, but I'm not sure how exactly the Mac version works. (You can also run SSP on android..but I have no clue where to even begin with that. Windows is your best bet.)
If you run a Mac, you'll have to translate this page to figure out how to get it working. www14.big.or.jp/%7Eayase/ese/

If you run Windows, the first thing you're going to want to do is to go to this website ssp.shillest.net/ and click the "Complete Install Package” link. It's on the left side of the page and one of the only things in English, so it shouldn't be hard to find! (If for some reason this doesn't work, you can download the "Complete ZIP package" beneath it instead, but the complete install package is easier to work with.)

> (Don't worry if this page looks a little scary. If you get any "dangerous file" prompts, it's most likely because they're coming from a foreign website. All the files involving the Ghost are completely harmless.)

Once it's downloaded, run SSP.exe, the program with the little bell icon. A catgirl named Emily will pop up and a Japanese menu will appear. She's the default ghost for SSP--just go ahead and close or ignore the menu she pulls up.

Now, onto the actual installation!

1.) Right click the catgirl to bring up a long menu. If the menu is in English, then move on to the next step. If it’s not, go to the fourth option from the bottom, set it to English, then restart SSP. The right click menu should switch to English. The catgirl ghost will still be in Japanese though.

2.) Download the attached "tetchy_legacy.nar" file in the MediaFire link below. This is the Ghost. Drag and drop the .nar file onto the catgirl. It will come up with some Japanese text, but you can ignore this.

3.) When it's done, (you should see a panel appear with some info indicating that Legacy downloaded,) right-click the catgirl and go to the "Change Ghost" tab. You should see Legacy listed! Switch to her and you should be ready to go. You can refer to #user -manual for some helpful tips.

> This all may look a little intimidating, but it should only take around 5 minutes max if you follow the instructions carefully. Please let me know in the comments if you have any problems with installation!
