Description
*sigh* Oh I didn't think I'd be able to finish this today. Seven minutes before midnightGod I've been aching SO BADLY to do some art that wasn't fanart or someone else xD I haven't done that for like a month >_< I don't know why, but I always do better when it's original :\ At least I think so. Perhaps I work much harder on the anatomy or something xD

Oh thank you! I just really like sunsets so I get my inspiration a lot from the very vivid colours nature sometimes has when the lighting's different than normal.

Ah! She's very cute, isn't she? :]
I really like the way you've done the roses - I say this because I know juuuust how hard they are to make look right! And the way you've blurred out the ones in the background is very clever.
The skirt's shading is great too!
I can't help but notice though ... she should probably have her other ear visible, no? xD

Oh thank you very much! And yeah they take forever to do ;_; The blurred background thing was actually a suggestion by *LeMaffin who constantly reminds me to do so
And should it be visible? Hmm I suppose her head isn't tilted enough for it not to be. I'll try to be more careful of that next time

Your welcome! Well, at least your work paid off - that's a positive, wouldn't you say?
Oh, well thank her then! xD It's a very good idea. Makes the picture look more whole, you know?
I think so. I can't be sure, but, it looks empty there without the ear, I think.

Thanks so much! Glad you like to ^_^ It's actually kinda refreshing to draw details again (and of course a pain in the butt). Senshi uniforms don't have many xD

Wow, this is one of your best works lately! ^^ I love the coloring in her hair and the entire concept. Great job!
And I know what you mean, I desperately need to draw a thing or two just for myself from time to time. Otherwise I just might go nuts. XD

Oh thank you so much! And yeah I've gotten there for the first time in my life I think >_< It's just lately so many people have been asking for art trades and I feel bad about saying no if I don't feel like it. >_< I know you must have that same problem. You draw so much for other people through commissions, trades, contests, etc.

Lately I have felt really tired because of this, I never seem to be able to finish it all. *sigh* And then some people keep asking for requests, even if I told them a dozen times that I don't do requests, only art trades and commissions occasionaly. But then they are too lazy to draw something for you, or to pay you for you work...

Tetiel In reply to silver-eyes-blue [2009-03-31 17:45:55 +0000 UTC]
Yeeeeeeeeah I never do requests myself, but it becomes difficult when you get so many art trades that it almost feels like a request. It's not a big deal, usually, but sometimes they take months and months to finish their part of the deal. Which is okay if they have other obligations but sometimes I see them drawing like 10 drawings before they draw mine /facepalm

I usually don't do my art trades in the order of receiving them, but then again - the people usually don't have to wait forever for me to finish it. The longest I ever took for an art trade was maybe like... 2 months?
I just never seem to be able to work on a collab I was supposed to work on with ; we both seem to be so lazy. XD

Oh of course. And I'm sure you warn them anyways. Order is fine and it's only fair ^_^ And haha I feel that could be the same with our collab xD Of course I suppose I have a valid excuse but since it appears my fiance will never fix the computer I think I should just give up and go ahead and redo it

grr, why is everything you do you so infuriatingly beautiful?
Wow, you work really hard on these, don't you? 10 hours, wow, I wish I had free time like that!
You do such wonderful work, I really love this, her expression is so cute, and I absolutely love her outfit!

Thank you And yeah I do
And I have a lot of freetime since I'm pretty much acting like a housewife right now. All I need to really do is laundry and dishes. Oh, give my fiance attention of course since he's seriously an attention whore xD So yeah I have lots and lots of time on my hands I guess.
And thanks again I try to design outfits I wish they would sell in stores xD No one sells poofy skirts anywhere around here

oh lucky, I guess I never really gave thought to how old you were, I'm still a little high school kid, with lots of homework and school to go to, taking away any and all free time I might have had
I try that too, but I've taken the next step: creating them. I'm taking a fashions class to learn to sew, and I'm going to make some of my outfits, maybe even sell some have you ever considered that? it would be cool to walk around in outfits you've designed, right?

I'm only 20! xD Don't worry I was once there It goes away eventually. And god I suck at sewing. In home ec in 7th grade I got a C for the sewing portion of the class >_< At least I'm still good at cooking, right? v_v

Ginger-Storm In reply to Tetiel [2009-03-29 17:14:16 +0000 UTC]
really? only 20? and you're a 'housewife'? I would have thought you would be in school, or maybe having a job to help with bills?
haha, I took a cooking class last year in school, and I suck at cooking. I like the microwave. At least I can biol eggs and cook hamburgers.. but I much prefer baking, it runs in the family.
I'm pretty good at sewing, but my sewing machine is so much different than the ones at school that it's hard to apply my skills here, because it's so confusing :S !!

Tetiel In reply to Ginger-Storm [2009-03-29 18:03:28 +0000 UTC]
Oh well I would be in school, but see, last summer I broke up with my boyfriend and decided to change schools. Then I changed countries and moved in with who is now my fiance. Fast paced, but yeah Basically it meant I didn't have enough time to apply for school.
And I'm the exact opposite xD I can do pretty much everything BUT bake. I think it's because no one taught me how. My mom's really against carbs so no one ever baked so I'm horrible with dough.

Ginger-Storm In reply to Tetiel [2009-03-29 18:09:25 +0000 UTC]
wow, got a new boyfriend, and engaged in less than a year? wow.
oh, well then you'll be going to school for the next semester, would that mean you'd have applied already?
haha, I grew up in a really poor family, so we never bought anything, we made it ourselves (even grew everything ourselves, ever corn and potatoes) so I was taught to bake, I always helped out. they never let me cook though, by the time I was tall enough to cook, we had more money and didn't need to cook as often, thus I never learned. but it's a good skill, baking. home made bread is so much better than store bought stuff, even the fresh stuff, pick up a cook book, it's really not that hard to pick up, and the result is yummy

Tetiel In reply to Ginger-Storm [2009-03-29 18:15:44 +0000 UTC]
And yeah it's kinda fast. My parents are suspecting it's rebound but I knew the guy for a year already so yeah. It wasn't too bad of a transition. We were already great friends. And no actually I haven't, but I'm going to be this week.
And wow grew everything? That's impressive. When I was little we grew stuff like tomatoes and asparagus but we couldn't do too well because the deer and groundhogs would eat everything >_< Well except the asparagus. No animal wanted that

Ginger-Storm In reply to Tetiel [2009-03-29 18:39:08 +0000 UTC]
oh, well that's good. but your parents can think what they want, it's not their choice, right? My mom disapproves of any type of boyfriend, it's infuriating.
hmm, I bet a lot of people have already got their applications, you'd better hurry.
haha, I never liked asparagus Yeah, we grew everything, and no animal came near because we lived in a pretty commercial area, there was a tank farm nearby, maybe that drove them away (well, not the bears..) but my family was really into gardening, my grandma especially. I lived with my grandma, mom, aunt, and sister. all in 3 bedrooms (holey crap, I really have come a long way since then!)
Wow. I'm being boring

Tetiel In reply to Ginger-Storm [2009-03-31 17:38:33 +0000 UTC]
Yeah I think my dad disapproves of the same thing. He doesn't want to give away any of his little girls And gosh that must have been so crowded! I can't imagine what it must have been like. But I assume you had quite a big yard, right?
And where did you live that you had bears in a commercial area O_O

Ginger-Storm In reply to Tetiel [2009-03-31 19:44:47 +0000 UTC]
yeah, my mom neither. My sister found her fiance online, so that was crazy. she's being extra protective of me.
oh, huge. well, huge to me, I was little. quarter of an acre was pretty big to me. it was all garden. we even had an apple tree.
hmm, well I don't know if commercial is the right word. One street over was a huge commercial area, but in the other direction down our street it was pretty industrial, what with the tank farm. I guess we were just stuck in the middle, but there was a huge forest right by the tanks, that's probably where the bears came from. I live really close to the rez.
