Oct. 31.I don't think words can explain how much I miss them, how much they mean to me or how much they represent. I just hope you - at least some of you - can capture their essence through this picture. It's not perfectly drawn nor neatly finished, there are sketch lines not erased and probably loads of anatomic flaws (not to mention all the details that my scanner decided to ignore). But I thought it would look artificial if I simply fixed it all up.
After all, it's not about technique, well-shaped figures or line perfection. It's about loss, sorrow, loneliness, despair, trust, acceptance, growth, dependence, renewal, passion. Meaning: it's about love. And love is not artificial, love is not flawless. It's a constant search for the beauty that lies within all imperfections.
Yes, two guys. Don't like it? Pretend one of them is a girl. Not working for you? Then simply don't look at it. Seriously, couldn't care less what you think. (:
edit: Light. Colours. Let's see how many of you will remove it from your favourites after that.

Your description works so beautifully with this picture, which is stunning on its own. You've conveyed a very powerful emotion here, and I really, really love it. It's incredibly inspirational, touching, and truthfully moving. The bound red ribbon attached to their wrists just brings the piece together completely, and I love it.

This piece is gorgious. Not just technically perfect - You've got such a strong emotion between them. Like LE2 said, it's raw, but it's also very tender. I think you managed to capture here exactly what your comment says, and I can't stop staring at it.

I like it this way. It's very...raw, the way you can see all the paper creases. In some artworks, this would detract, but it somehow adds to the pathos here.
