I know the Silver Centurion represents a dark part in Stark's life, with the Armor Wars and his first butthead with Cap, but I always loved the design of this armor, as well as when artists allow themselves to leave the "classic" color scheme aside for something new and memorable. I definetely could see this armor as his default look in my Texverse.
