[Interviewer]: Thank you so much for sitting down with us today, could you introduce yourself to our readers?

[Modified Woman]: Oh man, thank you so much for having me! My name's Hailey and I guess you could say I'm kind of a dog-girl, or... is it girl-dog? Ah, I never know which one sounds weirder.

[Interviewer]: Can you tell us a bit about your backstory and how you decided to get modified with dog genes?

[Hailey]: Yeah, sure! So, I grew up in a pretty standard suburban family. Dad worked as an accountant, mom was a teacher, and I had a younger brother who was always getting into trouble. I guess you could say I was always a bit of an outsider. I mean, I had friends, but I never really felt like I fit in. I've always been really interested in animals, though. I had a ton of pets growing up - cats, dogs, birds, you name it. When I was in college, I started reading up on genetic modification and became totally fascinated by it. I mean, it was still pretty experimental back then, but I just knew I had to try it.

[Interviewer]: What specifically drew you to dog genes?

[Hailey]: Well, I've always been a bit of a dog person, if you can tell from how excited I get. I just love how loyal, playful, and protective they are. So, when I saw some videos of people who had gotten modified with dog genes, I was just blown away. I mean, who wouldn't want to have a dog's sense of smell or hearing? Plus, let's face it, they just have a ton of fun. And honestly? I think the whole idea of running around and playing fetch just seemed like a nice escape from the boring, repetitive world of being a human.

[Interviewer]: How have your family and friends reacted to your modifications?

[Hailey]: Ah, that's always a bit of a mixed bag. My parents were pretty upset at first, but they've come around. My brother was all for it, though. He thinks it's the coolest thing ever. My friends were supportive, but... I mean, let's be real. They all think it's a bit weird. They don't really get it, but they accept it. Theyre all pretty happy to play fetch with me, so it's not all bad

[Interviewer]: How has your life changed since getting modified?

[Hailey]: Oh man, it's been a total game-changer. I mean, the dog-like instincts are just so... strong. It's like I finally understand what it means to truly live in the moment. It's like all my senses have been turned up to 11, and I'm constantly scanning the environment, sniffing, listening, just... experiencing everything in a way that I never could before. Plus, man, let me tell you, the playtime is just the best. And did I mention how good it feels to just roll around in the grass and dig in the dirt? Ah sorry! I'm probably starting to bore you with all this dog stuff.

[Interviewer]: No, not at all! Your enthusiasm is actually quite infectious.

[Hailey]: (laughs) Good! It's hard not to be enthusiastic when you get to be a part-time dog.

[Interviewer]: So what about your work and hobbies? How have your modifications affected those areas of your life?

[Hailey]: Well, I have a pretty high-stress executive job, but honestly, being a part-dog has made me so much better at it. I mean, dogs are always in the moment, and they don't get caught up in all the drama and nonsense that humans tend to obsess over. That's been huge for me in terms of staying focused and productive at work. I mean, sometimes I get impatient in long meetings, but it's not bad as long as I'm active outside of work. As for my hobbies, well, let's just say that fetch has become a bit of an obsession. who needs a gym membership when you can just spend all day running around and chasing a ball? But honestly, I'm just happy to be able to run and play and live life to the fullest. It's pretty great to just fully embrace that inner puppy.

[Interviewer]: How do you feel about the controversy surrounding genetic modification, especially when it comes to splicing animal genes into humans?

[Hailey]: Oh man, I wish people would just calm down about it. I mean, we've been modifying ourselves for thousands of years, whether it's through diet, exercise, or even plastic surgery. This is just the next step. Plus, come on. We're not turning into actual animals here. It's just a few genes. It's not like I'm out here trying to sniff other people's butts or anything... (laughs) although, I wouldn't mind if people were a bit more receptive to the idea.

[Interviewer]: Well, there are probably some people who wouldn't mind that.

[Hailey]: (laughs) Yeah, maybe one day the world will be cooler about it. But anyway, I just think people need to be more open-minded about this whole modification thing. It's not about trying to be something you're not, it's about becoming the best version of yourself. And for me, that means being part-dog. It may not be for everyone, but that's fine. We're all unique, and that's what makes us special.

[Interviewer]: And do you have any plans for the future in terms of your modifications? Or are you happy with where you are now?

[Hailey]: I think I'm pretty happy with where I am now. I mean, I may get a few more tweaks here and there, some longer fur or something, but nothing major. I'm just happy to be able to be myself and not have to hide who I really am. I think that's what it's all about. Being true to yourself, and not giving a shit what other people think. And you know what? If some people don't like it, well, that's their loss. There's nothing better than just being your true, authentic self, and for me, that means being a girl-dog....dog-girl?

[Interviewer]: Speaking of being true to yourself, how has your modified identity impacted your dating and personal relationships?

[Hailey]: Ah, well, I haven't been in the dating game for a few years now, but it was a bit of a challenge. I mean, some guys can be pretty shallow, and they just couldn't see past the whole dog thing. But then there's my husband. Oh man, he's the absolute best. I mean, he treats me like royalty. Or like his favorite pup, depending on the day. But seriously, he just gets me. I don't have to pretend to be anything I'm not with him. We can just be ourselves, and it's the most amazing feeling in the world. I think that's what a real relationship is all about. Finding that person who loves you just the way you are, quirks and all. And man, is he good with belly rubs. Gotta give him props for that.

[Interviewer]: It's clear that you have a lot of love and gratitude for him. It's inspiring to see such a strong bond between two partners.

[Hailey]: Yeah, it's pretty amazing. I mean, not everyone gets to experience that level of understanding and acceptance. So I'm just grateful every day that I found him. Even if sometimes I do get a bit carried away and start humping his leg. Oh well, that's just me being me! (laughs) But anyway, I really hope that other people can find that same level of happiness in their relationships, no matter what form they take. Life is too short to be anything less than true to ourselves.

[Interviewer]: That's certainly a powerful message. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us today, Hailey. It's been an absolute pleasure speaking with you.

[Hailey]: Likewise! I always love getting to share my story and connect with others. Oh, and before we wrap things up... if you wouldn't mind... (arches her back and gives a puppy dog eye expression)... just a quick belly rub? It's been a stressful day, and I could really use the relaxation.

(Interviewer obliges)

[Hailey]: Ah, that's the stuff. You're a lifesaver. Thanks again for the chat! Now if you'll excuse me I think I just saw a squirrel. Have a great dayyyy!
