Meet Shadowstep, a male allosaurus OC designed by Therbis ! Having an OCs of different species is always great motivation to draw new critters for the first time and learn more about them. <3

Character info:

As a youngster much weaker than the others and presenting withdrawn behaviors, Shadowstep was regularly attacked by members of his own pack. Being the lowest in the hierarchy, he had limited access to food which over time only weakened his body more and more. One day, during a fight over the remains of a carcass, he escaped and did not return.

Shadowstep grew up outside the pack, understanding that finding another group or learning to survive alone is his only chance to stay alive. Fearing any confrontation with another pack in his weakened state, he chose the second option. Within a few years, he became a great solitary hunter well adapted to ambush attacks. Thanks to his camouflage patterns and the ability to move effortlessly, this allosaurus can easily sneak up on his prey - often smaller and faster than him. His hunts usually take place in the early morning or at dusk.

Shadowstep - just like a leopard - has a habit of dragging his prey over rocks and other hard-to-reach places to prevent it from being stolen by other carnivores. Despite his lack of cooperation skills, he shows a high level of intelligence which helps him discover new survival techniques.
