Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) was the first anime I wanted to watch and I have no regrets. It's offers a dark and deep story with plenty of battle scenes and soundtracks. Moreover, there's no fan service and none of the female or male characters are sexualized (you can probably tell it annoys me in other series) so if you're okay with gore scenes, I 100% recommend it,
