"Well, I'm not really sure. We were searching the farthest caves in the land trying to find any last remnants of Gray Mann's forces before we left, and found this. It was in a strange temple-like room, surrounded by what looked like ancient markings."
[Twilight Sparkle]
"Does it do anything?"
[DoE:R Engineer]
"Tell me, did any creatures lose their magic earlier today?"
[Twilight Sparkle]
"Now that you mention it, every creature seemed to briefly lose their magic a few times today. Why do you ask?"
[DoE:R Engineer]
"Well, this artifact is comprised of three crystals. When we took them apart, they stopped glowing, and it only glowed again when they were reunited."
[Twilight Sparkle]
"You think this artifact is the cause?"
[DoE:R Engineer]
"I'm starting to think this is more than that. I think this might be the source of magic in this world."
[Twilight Sparkle]
"WHAT? How? Celestia never mentioned this, neither did the Pillars or Discord."

"I'm thinking this might predate all of them by a very long time."

"This is something we're definitely going to need to look into."

"I'll have my team give you all the information we collected."

"What should we do with it now?"
[DoE:R Engineer]
"I'm going to have it put back where we found it. Something tells me this needs to be kept hidden."
