At his hideout Raja recived good news from Razoul. It's seems many of the herbivores were leaving the island, because they ate most of their green food source, and as a result the clan of spotted hyenas, as well as many other predators were leaving as well, meaning that it was safer for him to get out. He figured if Ryan won`t lead him to these intriguing little artifacts ,he should contact that shaman to be his new "errand beast", but in order to find a way to contact him, he needed Ryan first.

Ryan had come to a sleep over with the colobuses, they were all nested within a large tree near the beach ,watching the stars, and Zan was quite happy about Cameron not being with them for once. However something else was in the canopy watching the monkeys with its huge eyes. It started pelting the monkeys with small pebbles by blowing them trough a piece of reed, when the monkeys tried catching the little nusiances it easily made them fools of them, by easily escaping them with it's superior night vision and agility.

However the little creature soon feel and dropped in Ryan`s hand, Zan quickly congratulated him and said that they should squash the little pest, but Ryan couldn't bring himself to do that after getting a look at the tiny, big eyed primate "That it so cute", Ryan assured the little creature rhat he wasn't going to hurt. Acting innocent the small primate claimed he was only playing, Zan made a crack about it's big eyes " Looks like someone got squized too hard", as Zan laughed the small animal acted hurt, Ryan felt the need to comfort him. "Don`t mind him he says a lot of stupid things, now if you don't mind telling me what kind of animal are you?"

The little primate said that he was a bushbaby, a nocturnal creature, his voice was soo high pitched and squeaky he sounded like a toodler and much to the monkeys dismay Ryan invited it to stay. The bushbaby told Ryan a few things about his kind, upon hearing how they had great hearing and night vision and could even catch bugs in mid flight, Ryan was impressed comenting how the little primate was more like a cat than a primate ,making Zan annoyed. The bushbaby gave a demonstration, Zan insisted he could do the same with ease, only to narrowly avoiding falling to his death after being caugh by Ryan. Ryan shared some stories about having to save Zan`s but out of situations he got himself into with the bushbaby making Zan increasingly more annoyed.

At mornings dawn while everyone else was asleep the bushbaby brought a crab to pinch the sleeping Zan in the tail, he awoke with a screech and soon started a comotion troughout his colony. When he came to Ryan to accuse the bushbaby ,they found it sleeping on Ryan`s shoulder. Ryan thought Zan was overeacting, but they got interupted when they heard a yowl, which was Cameron calling for Ryan. Ryan went home with the bushbaby coming with him , leaving Zan angry and jealous.

Soon after the monkeys left a small paddle boat with 4 men arrived at the beach. They had an important task, not just to bring fresh meat for their tribe again, but also to scout the island to see if it was safe and inhabitable, at least for a while. The leader of the party was very focused on his mission ,until he spotted some unusual tracks in the sand, human-like in shape but with claws like a cat. The beasts was here! Feeling anger boil inside of him the man order 2 of his fellow hunters to follow the tracks and then report back, while he and the fourth hunter would go on to scout the rest of the island.

On their way the bushbaby claimed that he recently lost his parents to a eagle, feeling simpathy for him Ryan told him that he could with him. Needles to say Cameron wasn't thrilled by the idea, she couldn't quite grasps what Ryan found so "cute and charming" about the bug eyed creature "Must be some human thing" she thought. Ryan pleaded to her to let him stay, and as much as she tried not to cave in, she let the bush baby stay after Ryan gave her the kitten eyes, he also said how his new friend was an effective control against mosquitoes and other bugs. The bushbaby soon got on her nerves with his constant chatter and questions. Was she Ryan`s mom? No? Then why were they living together? Why was Ryan bipedal and wearing eland skin? Why didn't Cameron have a mate or cubs? That last one made her angry, though Ryan didn't get why, nontheless he felt he should give her some space.

The bushbaby pointed out that she had quite a temper, Ryan couldn't argue with that but insisted that she was quite nice under her rough exterior. Ryan explained to him the nature of his relationship with Cameron and why they are together , the bushbaby suggested that she was viewing Ryan as a pet, given how controling she seemed to him, Ryan dismised that notion as ridiculous, though the bushbaby kept on insisting.

They ran into Skulk and pick, who were working on another scheme to catch an easy meal.Basicially he was trying to lure a buffalo calf from it's herd into their grasp. The bushbaby soon got on their nerves too with his intensive chatter.

" What are you? You sure are ugly animals? Are you some cross between jackals and hyenas? Why do you smell so much? Do you have flees? Do you have mange? Why does Moz have only one ear? Why..?" The dogs were ready to tear him apart, but Ryan defended him, insisting he was just little and asking innocent questions. After calming down Skulk asked Ryan if he wanted to lure the calf into their trap, but Ryan denied and the bushbaby chimed in " That`s dangerous, what kind of a friend are you?". "It aint dangerous, Ill prove it by doin it myself". Acting like he wants to play with him Skulk lured the gulible calf away from it's herd. "Wow that hairbrained scheme of his might work!" thought Ryan.

Looking for Ryan Zan stumbled upon the buffalo herd and saw, from a distance, the bushbaby apper on a branch and tell one of the buffalo something, but when he intersepted the little primate ,the bushbaby gave him a present,an egg? " What am I supposed to do with an egg?" he asked ,but the bushbaby was gone. He soon heard a screech as an angry mother hornbil started flying after him, mercilessly pecking and clawing at Zan`s head, as he tried to escape.

Sitting on a branch Ryan watched Skulk lead the calf to his "playground" as Zim,Moz and Gab prepared to ambush it. However they suddenly heard loud grunting and stomping, and the four wild dogs were running for their lives from the furious cow. Jumping on Ryan`s shoulder before he even noticed his absence, the bushbaby told him that they should check out if the dogs are alright.

They soon found the 4 hidding in a hollow tree trunk as the buffalo was sniffing for them but soon left. Ryan helped them out and afterwards left wishing them luck for their next scheme to get food. Angry and humiliated ,Skulk started ranting on how "his briliant plan" could have failed, but got soon aproached by a batered Zan saying that he might know how....

However at night the bushbaby decided to play a little prank on the leopard, finding some more eland hide left in the cave he used it to trap a whole bunch of termites and soon released them on Cameron. Ryan awoke when he herd her scream and run out of the cave. Cameron ran around frantically, rolled around in the dust before finally jumping into a pool of water to rid herself of the termites.

When she came back she was furious, she knew that little bug eyed pest was the cause of it, Ryan didn't belive it and tried to defend him, but Cameron was firm with her order " Either he leaves now or he`ll be my midnight snack!" she swiped at him with her claws, causing him to run away in fear. Ryan tried going after him but was blocked by Cameron.

She told him to stay where he was,but they soon got into an argument Ryan was angry at her for being hostile and chasing away any friend he tries to make. She then claimed that every animal he tried to befriend was nothing but trouble and that she was doing it for his own good. Getting even angrier Ryan said that she has no clue on what`s good for him and that she has no right to control him. " As long as you're under my cave roof, you follow my rules"

"Fine then I won't live there!"
" You're grounded! " she said losing her temper "
"You can't ground me!" Ryan shouted, not believing her nerve to say that
" Oh yes I can! " "Then try it" Ryan jumped over her and dissapeared in the forest, leaving the leopardess feeling guilty over yelling at him.

After starting a friendly conversation with the cub, he asked him if Mekela was his mother, and then where his actual parents were. When Tally somberly said that he doesn't have them the bushbaby said " Really , did they leave you behind or something , you must have been quite the burden on them or...." this made the cub cry while an enraged Mekela attacked the bushbaby who baerly managed to escape. "Sheesh someones sensetive" he snarked in his squeaky voice. However no sooner, he got grabbed by the tail and lifted by Zan " Oh look what I found Skulk!" and wild canine emerged " Ah its dat little, medling, bugayed rat, good thing we found you cuz deres someone we wantz ya too meet!.

At the beach Kala and her mate were basking in the sun while their croclings were playing when Zan and Skulk approached them. "Why hello Kala so good to see ya and your wonderful family!" said Skulk with lots of enthusiasm "why infact we brought dese little guys a present ,show dem Zan!". The crocklings all huddled together eagerly trying to take a bite out of the screaming bushbaby "Don't push fellows there's enough bush meat for everyone!"

However both of them soon noticed Ryan standing behind and were caught in an akward situation. Unable to explain themselves, Ryan just glared at them as the bushbaby hugged him crying how everyone was mean to him. " Some friends you are!" Ryan jumped up the tree and dissapeared into the canopy, while Zan and Skulk were left there.

With the bushbaby clinging on to him Ryan jumped from one tree branch to another using his new feline acrobatic skills, angry and confused at why all of his friends were acting this way, while the bushbaby giggled in his head " I have my bodyguard secured for good!". Unberknowns to them they were spotted by the 2 hunters, who were stunned at the site of the beast their leader talked about, but nontheless followed. They didn't get far as they heard growling noises and saw a pair of yellow eyes in the bushes, it was Raja saying "Oh were you planning on harming my litte aquaintence there, I`m afraid I can't allow that..." before he lunged at them...

Ryan rested against a tree trunk still angry, the bushbaby wandered of again looking for victims to annoy.He spotted a lion and threw a rock at him and hid before the lion could spot him. Following the direction the rock came from Raja was delighted at having found Ryan ,he revelead himself imediatly shocking Ryan who couldn't belive what he saw.

"Maybe it was a bad idea to provoke the lion" admited the bushbaby much to Ryan`s shock.

Seeing as the lion was after him the bushbaby told Ryan byby before running of. Raja gave Ryan the chance to be taken captive peacefully, but of course he tried to escape and Raja was more than happy to give chase.

The bushbaby didn't get far as he bumped into Cameron aided by the monkeys, wild dogs and Mekela & Tally, and was soon threatened into leading them to Ryan. Raja chased Ryan trough the forest, Ryan tried to evade him as much possible but eventually he was chased of a cliff and grabbed hold of a tree root. Chuckling Raja extended his paw offering him the chance to be his captive or to fall on the pointy rocks bellow. But soon Raja faced the combined attack of Cameron, Mekela and the wild dogs, while he was distracted Zan and his pals formed a monkey ladder to pull Ryan up.

"Give up Raja you're outnumbered!" exclaimed Cameron, surrounded the lion growled "You`ll never get me alive!" Raja made a bee line towards the dense undergrowth of the forest. Cameron told them to let him go, as they had to check if Ryan was okay.Ryan thanked them all for coming to his aid before being presented with the captured bushbaby by one one of the monkeys.

"I have feeling that you got some explaining to do" said Ryan holding the midget primate by the tail. Surrounded by a horde of angry predators the bushbaby confested everything : that he was manipulating Ryan in order to get away with annoying others for fan, for doing all those pranks, for foiling Skulks sheme and that he's not even a kid, but in fact 30 years old, Senegal galagos just look and sound like babies all their life. That last one creeped everyone out.

"So can we feed him to the crocodiles now!" asked Zan eagerly
" Oh have some mercy Zan , we don't want to give our friend Kala indigestion" said Ryan as he threw the bushbaby high up into the canopy, where he landed non of them cared. Ryan apologized to everyone for allowing some cute,little fuzzball make a fool out of him and turn him against his friends.But Cameron had to apologize for yelling at him, to which Ryan insisted that she was right and he was wrong, and that he should listen to her more often,so they just hugged one another. Skulk however had to break the tender moment....

"I hate to interrupt family time or what not, but I need to remind ya dat we jst found out dat Rajas on de island and I have sneekin suspition dat we havnt seen the last of him".
They all knew that was true, peace time was over with that lion back here, but unberknowns to them another danger was lurking on the island, as the lead hunter found the mangled corpses of his companions, the beast, it seemed, had taken 2 more lives , with rage and hatred boiling trough his body he swore that the dreaded monster won`t escape him this time.....
