Description
A size comparison of the conceptual Elliniko Center of Performing Arts with two real life famous buildings of Greece, the Parthenon (Ictinus and Calicrates, 432 B.C.) and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (Renzo Piano, 2016). As you can see I took much freedom with scale. After all I don't really reject the giant scale like many people do. I tend to think that the giant scale often serves the masses. I bet this is what Ancient Greeks also thought when they built their temples and their theaters.Still though, it's a pretty good reason why I placed the concept in Elliniko, which is pretty far from the historical center of Athens.
