Done in Sketchbook pro 6 on a Wacom bamboo tablet.Β

Really fabulous and good choice of colors! But maybe next time you should somehow make the Buddha look special and stand out from the background.

This is a really cool piece! It would be interesting to see it with Buddha having an even stronger contrast to his background; something like stark black and white to make him stand out! ^^

I enjoy the watercolor effect on the piece, it adds to the mood of the character. I also like the way you did the hands, the hands are nicely done for the chibi-ish appearance of the characterΒ

Thanks! Glad you like the hands, i struggled with them for a little while so they would at least somewhat look like hands xD before they looked like his fingers were just amputated nubs lol

Yea most statues of this Buddha are like that, i always thought it looked weird too, i guess thepart of the ear is behind is neck fat lol but yes those are ear lobes

I like the Buddha himself, though I think that the lips are a little bit too bright. It stands out and makes it look a tiny bit weird. I do, however, love how the rainbow effect is also present on the Buddha and not just on the background. It gives the painting more life.

I love the colors. The background has rainbow colors which is complementary of the (fat) guy. Not that much but bright colors vs dark colors which made it fit. The messiness of the rainbow also made it interesting. I like how you painted the guy, some messiness left which why I love it. Though to be honest...I'm kinda scared of the guy.../slap And his hands, for me, for some reason...looked like a cat without eyes only mouth: 3 /whatthe/ Overall cool shading anyways X3

I love the rainbow effect throught the picture and not just in the background. I also love how much detail you put into his face it really makes it stand out more than the rest of the picture and he just looks so happy and adorable. I do think that perhaps the white line in his belly is moved over a tad too much I geek that it does attract your attention away from his face which I think is your focal point since it's highly detailed compared to the rest. All in all if it were a critique I'd have given you a 5 star rating.Β

And yeaa i went a little crazy with paint texture lol that was something that bothered me as well but i left it because i live by this lesson my dad taught me, dont stress and do to much, sometimes the best things come out when you can set the pencil down and walk away lolΒ

I really like his mouth, though it's drew with really thin lines and much details and the rest of the drawing's lines are more messy so I feel a bit confused

I looked up about 3 reference pics for his mouth and sat there trying to get it, thats actually why his tongue is sticking out, i just could not draw his bottom lip right lol figured to stop stressing over it and improvise

The man looks joyfully happy and cheerful. The colors are a good blend to the image and I really like the details put into the clothing and skin of the man. The colors in the background definitely make the picture stand out with full of life. You have done a wonderful job on this ^^. Im also amazed you did it on Sketchbook pro 6! Keep up the work. I love it!
