Description
This is the fourth in the series of my custom My Little Ponies based off the Friendship is Magic show, Suited for Success- Rainbow Dash!! She is now at LEAST 20% cooler than her regular G4 version.
Her design is originally Lauren Faust (fyre-flye )/Hasbro's design, I just made the custom pony from it!!! She is part of a set! Please see my gallery for the rest of the Suited for Success ponies!
She was featured on EQD!
Her base is a G4 Rainbow Dash single, her dress (which again, is removable!) and other accessories were sculpted in Apoxie Sculpt. She was painted with a variety of acrylics, sealed, and her hair was styled and pinned to look as close to the original character as possible.
She will be for sale soon as will the rest of the set! Check my journal for updates!

P.S. I'm reharing my big Rarity and I was wondering, when you rehair, do you dip the knots in Mod Podge/glue before you use them? It seems to work but I'm afraid that some of my plugs will come out when I fix her hair.

Nope! I actually don't knot the hair at all- its a waste of time IMO. I always just push the plug in, and when its all done, I coat the inside of the head with tacky glue. (dont use super glue!) I'm not sure how big the plugs are in a styling pony, but that seems to work with regular ponies. What method of rehairing are you using?

Yeah, I'd like to do that, I've been looking into getting the rehairing tool from DollyHair.com. I'll have to try tacky glue - does it stand up to boiled/hot water?
I've just been tying knots at the end of each plug and pulling them through with a needle and thread. It's slow but it seems to work for me. But I'm definitely looking to make it easier on myself.

OMG you should- popgirl makes a good one too, as does another customizer on the arena. I have the DH one, just cause it was all that was around. Love it! (and I can tell you how to not spend tons on needles!)
Yup! It totally stands up to water- of course I don't submerse it for a long time and make sure the glue is super dry- but most if not almost all my customs have their hair boiled after rehair.
Ah, I did the needle and thread method once (for my first custom) and it took me forever! Plus, I stabbed myself a lot ><

I think I have some around somewhere, I'll have to use it when I'm done. ^_^ I'm trying something that I haven't really read about for Rarity's hair so I'm going to need to boil it so I'm sure it will stay put. ^_^

I'm super excited for season 2. But the other week when they didn't have an episode for two weeks, I was climbing walls by Thursday. lol So I hope I can make due with /pony/ and reruns. XD

Season two will be epic I'm sure! I hate waiting around for them, but this season I've been waiting around for ALL the shows I watch (seriously, I think theres been like 10 Greys Anatomy shows all season!) I just learn to watch Netflix lol

Well, problem is not everything is removable- just the dress! Her little tie up shoes (gold ballet slippers?) are painted on, and her headpiece is sculpted on. :<
