Description here's another lineless art piece I did, this time of a fictional oceanliner. I've actually got some backstory to this ship, so here it goes.

The SS Jupiter is an American oceanliner built in 1902 by the Olympic Line.
The Olympic Line itself has its roots all the way back in the 1840s, where it was founded under the name of the Stypers Steamship Company by a man named Darrel Stypers.
It originally built and ran steamboats in the Eastern United States until 1873 when it was bought by a man named Jeremy Winston, and its focus was switched to building and running. oceanliners.
The company's goal since the beginning of its oceanliner journey was to make the biggest and grandest ships for the time. However, by the turn of the century, most of their ships have been gradually becoming dated, even if they were just built. So, the company ordered the construction of the SS Jupiter to redeem their stance.
The SS Jupiter was originally planned to be one of the largest ships for its time. However, a third of its had to cut due to budget issues. So, instead, the focus was switched to making it one of the most luxurious ships for its time. However, again, most of the luxurious spaces had to cut due to budget issues.
The SS Jupiter began its first voyage on June 1st, 1902, and it was met with immediate problems. Just as it was leaving New York, its twin engines both malfunctioned and broke down, causing the ship to be left adrift in the Hudson River. It was eventually towed back to Port and fully repaired four days later.
It was successfully able to depart on its second maiden voyage and went out to sea. However, after only four days at sea, a fire broke out on board and wasn't able to be controlled by the crew, so the ship was immediately evacuated. Thankfully, many ships were nearby when it happened, which saved almost all of the passengers and crew on board. The SS Jupiter was then towed back to New York, where it was repaired and refurbished with fire resistant material over the course of a month.
Finally, in August of 1902, the SS Jupiter was able to make its first successful voyage from New York to Liverpool, England. Afterward, the SS Jupiter began to become increasingly successful and popular despite its early reputation. However, the SS Jupiter's career would change drastically.
In 1914, the SS Jupiter was leased by a British shipping company to be used as a troop transport ship for WWI.
The SS Jupiter proved successful during the war as it evaded plenty of deadly situations with it even once being torpedoed, but it did not sink, and it was able to make it back to port.
After the war, the SS Jupiter was given back to the Olympic Line, where it was largely seen as a war hero by the public. However, the Olympic Line sold the SS Jupiter off soon after as the company was experiencing many financial issues due to them losing a large majority of their fleet during the war.
The SS Jupiter was sold to a competition company of the Olympic Line and sailed peacefully throughout the rest of its career. Only experiencing a single hiccup when, in 1921, it again caught fire at see, like it did on its maiden voyage, but this time, the fire was quickly controlled.
Finally, in 1927, the SS Jupiter was retired and sold for scrap.

phew*
