Description
Shadow Fury wasn't always a pony. He was originally a human going by the name of Darksyde. Before coming to Equestria, Darksyde lived in another world known as Oronim and was one of the most feared men in said world. After years of plotting and attempting to take over his home country of Elrie and almost succeeding on several occasions, Darksyde began to see the error of his ways and reform himself. Unfortunately, the damage had been done and no sane person would ever be willing to forgive his crimes. Seeing no other option, he used his magic to leave Oronim altogether, coming to Equestria to start a new life completely from scratch, even turning himself into a pony to top it all off. As a Cutie Mark, he bears the old logo of Paradias, the evil organization he once terrorized Elrie with for the better part of a decade. The Cutie Mark magic's cruel reminder that he'll never truly be free from his past.
As a unicorn pony, Shadow Fury retains all of the magic powers he had as Darksyde, actually making him one of the most powerful unicorns in Ponyville, almost rivalling Princess Twilight herself. While he hasn't exactly been using his new life for good like he originally intended, he's far from the menace he used to be, acting more "chaotic neutral" than anything. Of course, he also retained his love of farts, skunk spray, etc., which has made him quite popular with the Skunk Ponies of the Everfree Forest, especially their Queen Putressa.

He's also developed quite the crush on Princess Luna.
