warning! in about 2015, the beloved characters created by thatweirdo13 (c.2022 was when i created them idk) aka dagreateh, john and ellie patterson (nee richards for ellie) went missing, and were strangely replaced by the characters ellie and arnold! while they are similar in personalities, don't be fooled! since 2024, however, they have since been at large!
how to distinguish them:
john, being a nerd, is a big arrogant at first because he thinks he knows everything and ignores advice from his mentors, but learns his lesson and eventually becomes a mature and responsible and skilled firefighter, while arnold doesn't even have to apologize and is totally underrated despite his undeniable hotness!
they have more development! ellie and john are truly valued members of the team and have purposes! while ellie and arnold are just introduced for no reason and hardly get much development, especially with arnold!
they have moments! there are entire arcs about their romance and eventually marriage, not to mention they started a family! ellie and arnold? unconfirmed, but i ship it!
the designs of ellie and john are much more cartoony and not cgi! fireman sam is STOP MOTION!

dont take any of this seriously. i like ellie and arnold as characters, but i feel like a better introduction, character development, and maybe a backstory for why arnold doesn't like elvis and thinks he's soooo smart would help.

btw what should john and ellie's ship name be? do you have any sugguestions?
