In 2020,
Colton Simmons is a 19 year old college student who lives in a fraternity house located close to Meriwether-Adams University, the school he attends, in the Clearwater Metro Area. He shares a room with his roommate, Xerxes, and a bed with his symbiote Snare. But, by night (or whenever there is or he wants trouble), he is the anti-hero Snare.

In 2015,
Colton Simmons is a 14 year old high school student who lives with his mother and father (soon step-father) and his two sisters in Ashland, a municipality within the Clearwater Metro Area. He usually hangs out with his friends Carmen and Tyler. He meets Snare during a trek through forest with his friend Tyler.

Strangers would describe him as extroverted, and usually has something to say: be it a story about his childhood friend or current politics. His opinions can be described as controversial but that only adds to conversation because he looks for new information about the world and others. But, he really only cares for himself; being egoistical. He will seek for ways to manipulate his current situation into his favor. He doesn't care about you if you are a random citizen caught in crossfire of his attacks with Snare. Although his outward actions would make him appear to be a cruel person, his inner motives are essentially opposite, especially if you are somebody that he is close to. Friends and family would describe him as affectionate for the people that are close to him and does anything to help out. He is ambitious and won't stop before he accomplishes his goals, but if any danger, discomfort, or distraction crosses him, he usually would. When it comes to his fears he is impulsive with his decisions, sometimes turning him from a cunning, witty hero to a retreating coward. However, with all of these traits he is still able to push through life as a hero instead of succumbing to complete evil.
