in the comics, he was always given a strange marking by one of his eyes. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a scar or tribal paint. But seeing how beat up and battle-damaged the DCAU version of Aquaman is, I thought I'd might as well make it a scar.Related content

This scar, it seems that he did not just win by the ritual to gain his powers, he must have won in a battle that cost someone dear to him.
