Source:     Valkyria Chronicles 4 (Sega)
Prop Notes:
Once again, this prop was made using materials like colored paper, cardboard, foam board, wooden dowels, electric tape, white glue, and hot glue. Two materials used a lot more on this particular rifle were craft foam and duct tape due to color requirements and me not wanting to use paint.

I was in a rush to complete my "Kai" cosplay from Valkyria Chronicles 4. The LF-ASR series rifle seemed like the easiest to make due to its blocky appearance. I opted for the fully upgraded No. 10 variant. Since I was in a rush, I skipped over a lot of details, so the prop built in about a month as opposed to my other rifles which took 3. Despite sacrificing accuracy for speed I was pretty satisfied with the result and surprised at the number of people praising my weapon; I guess the paper craft appearance makes it stand out from generic guns.

Within the Edinburgh army, there were no true "sniper rifles." Standard rifles with high accuracy were handpicked from the Lenfield production line, and
modified with scopes to serve as the Federate sniper's firearm of choice.

The LF-ASR was one of the first rifles specifically designed for snipers. Most notably, its change from bolt-action to self-loading improved the firing speed greatly. However, these changes caused the accuracy to suffer--a fact which many snipers condemned it for, given that accuracy is arguably the entire purpose of sniping.
