Description Here it is, my first ever attempt at 3D character modeling. I decided to try to model Helrynega, the main protagonist of a Zelda-esque action/adventure horror game idea I've had called Shadows of Wiccumshire. At first I wanted the game to be somewhat in the style of A Link to the Past or Link's Awakening, but I've since had the idea that perhaps the 64-bit style of something like Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask would suit it better. I've always loved the polygonal look to those games, as well as their great capacity for mood-setting, particularly in the creepier areas (like the Shadow Temple, and pretty much all of Majora's Mask). So I thought this game idea I have would be better suited to a similar style, so I tried my hand at some rudimentary 3D modeling using Milkshape 3D, and this is the result. I tried to go for that low-poly N64 look, though I may have used way too many polygons, but whatever. Now I just have to texture the damn thing...

I think what I'll do in the (hopefully near) future is work some more on this model and some others, learn some UV mapping, and make some psuedo-screenshots to give people an idea of what the game could look like, and perhaps see if anyone would be interested in helping me actualize it, 'cause god knows I couldn't do that on my own.

Nicely done! Are you still working on 3D characters like this?
