"Basically, its a "What if?" scenario, where Eggman purposely messed with his teleporter in the final episode, to take Chris halfway through time to make the 18-year-old-turned-12-year-old into a 5 year old instead, and then return him to Sonic's world, so help the possibilities of the boy not remembering his past and give Eggman a possible heir.

In the end, when Sonic learns of this, he tried to snag Chris back, only to scare the now-turned-little boy who has become comfortable in the care of Decoe and Bocoe's servos."
