100 Day Character Style Drawing Challenge Day 21: Rei

I've been debating for a while now whether or not I should be posting these on here or not but... Meh... I've been way too quiet on this account anyways so TIME FOR A RANDOM SKETCHBOOK PHOTO DUMP!

Lately I've been working on a 100 day Character Style Drawing Challenge. The rules (were) simple.

1. Every day draw a character in the style you are aiming for using a single artists' works for reference

That being said, after 20 days of an incredibly depressing lack of progress I ended up refining the rules a bit to make it a bit more focused. As such I am going to keep drawing THE SAME character every day for the 100 days hopefully refining them into a style I can be happy with.

Honestly, since making this change I've noticed significant improvement and I've come to understand a lot of the art theory I knew of before a lot better. Not sure how well this knowledge will transfer to OTHER characters, or if I'm shooting myself in the foot in the long run, but for the time being I'm sticking with these rules!

That being said; Allow me to introduce you to Rei! My new OC who is going to be the subject of this experiment. An energetic, video game loving girl who values being comfortable and likes to have fun in life. Personality should also get refined the more I draw her but for now her basic prompt was "Active, bit tomboyish, casual, Japanese woman" so you can go from that.

Honestly, not sure where this all will head in the end if anywhere but hey! It's a journey and Rei's got the wheel, so let's go on an adventure together ね？
