I understand that there is an accepted practice of taking screenshots in games like Second Life or World of Warcraft or the like, placing characters in certain positions and uploading it to call it art. I will have more to say about this later but first let me evaluate this work in that context, as a Second Life screenshot.
The screenshot is very poorly framed. The woman to the left is distorted because of the way the picture is taken; she looks more like a figure on a cardboard cutout placed at an angle than an actual woman. Neither of the women seem to be interacting with the man, or would be in a position to view the man's hypnotic disk. The man is also awkwardly position, angled away from the viewer and distorted by the game interface.
The framing of the screenshot is similarly bad. We see a part of a tree, but the line of the floor makes it unclear as to whether it's on the floor or on a raised surface. There is no framing of the picture, no framing of the image.
I realize it's de-rigeur to have women placed in skimpy clothing so they can be seen as playthings for their male captors. It doesn't mean I have to like it.
In short, this is a Second Life screenshot that seems to be very poor as a screenshotβwith distorted images and poor framing to boot. On that level it fails. You would have done better to take the screenshot head on, with the figures facing the camera, and give it a decent, well constructed background against which to set the image.
But now I'd like to talk a little bit about screenshots in general. I really think you are selling yourself short by posting things such as this and being satisfied with it. The screenshot can by a reference, but it should not be the final artistic result. I would guess that the actual content in this piece is 98% screenshot and maybe 2% modifications. When you do this you are completely hindering yourself as an artist. Use a screenshot as a reference, sure, but make something out of it. Make it your work. Draw the characters, tracing them if necessary. It may be awful at first (it was for me). But if you keep at it, you will find yourself making better and better things, and not only will they be better, they will be your own.
I know this critique is harsh but I hope you agree it is fair. You can do better than this, much better than this. The first step is to not accept this as a worthy final result.

But what were their names before you picked them up?
Merry Christmas!
