If somebody thinks Piners and Boners sound similar when said slowly, that's one weird accent they have...When you say Piners slowly, though, it sounds kind of like 'Pine-ass'.
Pen licence is a thing in Aussie schools around years 3 and 4, where if you write really neatly (or, in the case of my eeeeevil year 4 teacher, you write in perfect cursive) you're allowed to use a pen. I never got mine, because my handwriting was borderline illegible until like 5 months ago.
