Ah, Merrick. Another character from my book. She's a feisty one, and I used face inspiration from Octavia from The 100, or actress Marie Avgeropulous. Her face perfectly fits the idea I had of Merrick in my head, so I had to draw her out.

I also tend to lean more towards colder colours in all my works, so this one was a challenge of spicing up the colour (fitting in with her character), hair obviously, and lighting but now with hands! Side note, I love my little buttons on her jacket!

If you haven't already guessed, the book is about magic. Lots of magic...
