Description
Red Clay mask cast from a plaster mold of my face, carved with vines then filled the vines with white clay. The mask on the mask is made with red clay under the green glaze (frosted jade) and white under the blue (sea mist). The face part has clear glaze over it (duh). It's made to hang on a wall, but I still need to find wallspace so it can do just that. I made this in sculpture class. This project taught me that Vaseline is extremely difficult to wash out of hair, and trying to wash it out in a school bathroom sink does not work very well. At all. Even if you do happen to have shampoo in your purse, and the help of one . But it was a lot of fun in the end and totally worth it.
