Discord could have saved that relationship but he took Maude for granite.
Also Maude thought Discord was full of schist.

It's no Discord's fault if Maud has very rigid standards. She clearly wants someone who's hardened in commitment. she's looking for more than just anybody with a soft sedimentary crust. She needs someone who's solid at their bedrock. You can't just be tossing pebbles when the pressure's on, you gotta be metamorphic and crystal clear. No stonewalling with her! Maud's been in too many hard places in life where brittle relationships went to rubble.
