I could envision twilight, after figuring out about the notebook, Locking it away or Gaurding it, making sure that noone else could or would be able to use it.

Oh dear, not that... Um, maybe you should just write something nifty like "Everypony lives forever and nopony dies...". I wonder what sort of negative consequences that might have. Or maybe "Anypony who steals bits on the third tuesday of any month will die a horrible death." All kinds of deeply disturbing fun to be had.
