Description
My first piece in a long time. To be perfectly honest, I've forgotten how to do a lot of things...My graphics tablet comes tomorrow so hopefully I can use that to create some decent images...

i love this picture Alan! as always you've got every detail to the nitty-gritty. ^^
i especially like the dust rings orbiting around the planet, and the sun rays creeping through the backsof the mountains remind me of the grand canyon!
great job!

Very powerful stuff. I like it alot.
The stars could use a little work though, you can tell where you used the black brush or the eraser or whatever to erase parts of the stars out.

Although, I gotta ask you, one Photoshopguru to another, how on earth did you make those outer rings. I just cant seem to get it right...

The clouds are fantastic, and the planet is good. You could have more going on in the stars to the left...but perhaps you wanted to avoid drawing the eye too many places....of course...when it takes an hour to download, might as well give us a few things to look at Landscape: not bad, the detail on the floor contrasted with the sheerness of the cliffs is cool.
My big grips is with the rings. Why do the rings continue their pattern on the VISIBLE side of the planet instead of going behind, out of view?
Overall, very nice work.

Well, the planet is pretty cool, and so are the rings...
But, the landscape itself is EXTREMELY terregeny, if you know what I mean...

I agree with what alyn said, more or less. This is a wonderful piece, especially the high mountains and the sunlight coming from behind them.

very nicely done theakman, especially on the smooth transition and planet, the terragen is nice too. Although, my only gripe is the starfield, which is extremely dense, perhaps tone it down in places.

Very, very cool. I love how dusty it feels. The planet is well-done, too. I don't really have much else to say - it's amazing
