Description
After the initial transparent washes have been applied and dried, the semi-transparent darks are laid down. Next comes the Unbleached Titanium White to slowly build the lights of the diving and space suits. Slowly, the entire image is developed at the same time, without letting one section of the image coming to an exceedingly higher level of finish than any other, at any point in time. Sterling works the whole painting at once, bouncing from one area to another.More videos in this series:
