I previously talked about the idea of Aphelion and Glitch being friends but what if through this friendship Aphelion was able to acquire abilities like Glitch, specifically having a holographic avatar of her own AND being able to transfer herself into various machinery.

Aphelion has a bit of a history of crashing and getting seriously damaged afterwards so after meeting Glitch and learning what she can do, I could see Aphelion DEMANDING Ratchet to give her such an ability so that if such a thing were to ever happen again she can transfer herself out of her ship form and onto something like Ratchet’s Nav-Unit or an electrical storage unit on Clank’s new arm before crashing, so that she wouldn’t have to stay in her damaged state and wait for someone to come fix her.

As a result we could get a fun avatar for her shaped like a robotic inspired female Lombax from Ratchet and Clank’s universe, which I bet the fandom would love though IG would have be careful or they could probably get in trouble with the Halo series. This would also mean Glitch could then go to Rivet and Kit, where she could help those two in their spin off games.

Having Aphelion outside of the ship would be nice as I could see her being able to help Ratchet and Clank more with these new abilities. One way is that she could be key to the hacking mechanic of a game where maybe to reference her being a ship’s AI, the gameplay is similar to the game Galaga.

I also could see her being the key to a gadget with a similar gameplay mechanic as the Hypnomatic from Going Commando, where Ratchet could wirelessly download Aphelion into various robots and machinery where Aphelion could then control it and to do things like shutdown defenses on the other side or take down unique enemies that are in Ratchet and Clank’s way.

I could also see her having a fun role on the map, like her avatar could explain to Rachet (and the player) how the new updated map features work and could be used as a map marker icon. Maybe during combat she could have in game dialogue where she informs Ratchet and Clank when reinforcements are coming or if the structural integrity of something is failing. Same with combat as she could warn them when snipers or cloaked enemies are in the area. Also with the next Ratchet & Clank game likely taking place in the Lombax Dimension, I could see her being very useful with handling Lombax technology since she IS Lombax technology.

Maybe such abilities could lead to this other idea I had about Clank and Aphelion dating .
