I’m glad to see that older Ratchet & Clank fans want a game about going to the Lombax Dimension to have a plot point where Ratchet and co. find Max Apogee. Not only is it time to finally end that long and unfocused plot point, but I can see his inclusion leading to some interesting moments in the game. Some of these moments would involve Max Apogee talking to Percival Tachyon or revealing past interactions between them.

Past games have stated that Max was a famous explorer and collected artifacts in his travels so I could easily see a moment where in the past, Tachyon approached Max and offered to pay him a lot of bolts for any Lombax items he discovered/discovers on his journeys. Of course Max would have told him that he would “consider it” but this was his way of saying no to the then Emperor, who hinted that he would hurt Max and his family if he didn’t make his mind soon.

Whether this happens before or after he found the Lombax artifact, Max would soon discover the devices importance and eventually finds the Dimensionator and fearing it getting in the hands of Tachyon plans to relocate the device. Sadly pirates would soon attack the Apogee Space Station (maybe they were paid by Tachyon to do so since the Cragmite did built them) and grabbed the Lombax artifact, causing Max to go out and relocate the Dimensionator before it was too late. Unfortunately while do so, he would get word about Tachyon finding a Lombax in the Bogon galaxy AKA Angela and knowing what to do, would go and save her, but at a cost got the attention of Tachyon’s army and became a wanted criminal. He would take himself, Angela, and the Dimensionator to Jasindu as he had Kerchu friends there who would protect the device after he used it to send Angela and himself to the Lombax Dimension, faking his disappearance so Talwyn would get in trouble with Tachyon’s forces.

When Tachyon invades the Lombax Dimension, he would learn that Max Apogee was there and would send a squad to hunt and kill him to get some payback, but this would actually help Ratchet and co. find him.

I also see a moment in the Lombax Dimension game where Max and Talwyn get into an argument . This could lead to another moment between the two where Tachyon mocks Max saying that though he prevented him from killing Angela all these years ago, he is glad that Max never got to raise his daughter and saying how bad of a father he is. This makes Talwyn mad and defends her father saying she is proud of him, which finally patches things up between her and Max.
