Star vs. The Forces of Evil was another okay show I would watch on occasion, and it was pretty good (major spoilers ahead) but like others I also thought the last few episodes of the series were rushed which hurt the story, especially the finale. Some time ago on my Tumblr I brought up the idea of the series getting a Disney+ special and I still think the people at Disney+ should green light such an idea.

I could see it being about how a few years after the finale, things for Star and Marco have been good until one day Star somehow uses magic to save someone, confusing everyone until Glossaryck appears (shocking everyone) to explain that magic is coming back. He explains that Star didn't destroy magic but reset it (explaining that life and magic have a symbiotic relationship and one can't be fully destroyed as long as the other exist) and though magic is a bit unstable at the moment, and it will get worse, there is a way to fix it before its too late. This leads the characters on a journey to go back to the magic dimension while dealing with evil forces like Mina and her new partner who is the real brains of the bunch and secretly plans on becoming master of all magic, making him a god of sorts.

I think a special would be good for 3 reasons, one is how its fitting for Disney+ especially since they have recently made tons of new content for franchise that are even older than SVTFOE.

It also would be a great way for the writers of the show to not only fix some problems in the show but also better explain and do things they probably couldn't do in show at that point in time, like maybe during the journey that stab wound Marco got from the evil unicorn returns and turns him into a minor antagonist for a bit or explain more on the finale's fusion of Earth and Mewni which could expand more on how Earthlings got to Mewni.

My biggest reason though is that I think a special would be enough content to allow Star Butterfly to return as a combatant in a future episode of Death Battle, specifically my Charlie Morningstar vs. Star Butterfly idea.

Would you want something like this to happen?
