I watched the live action Yu Yu Hakusho series the other day (thought it was a good adaption of the popular manga/anime) and I was reminded about the antagonist Sakyo, who is definitely Overlord material.

To give a brief summary, Sakyo was a member of a criminal organization that captured and sold low ranking demons and spent most of his time gambling with his fellow criminals but was pretty nihilistic and bored throughout all his life with gambling and smoking being the only things he liked, and even that got boring for him. It got so bad that it eventually led him to believe that the only thing that could give him a true rush again was if he opened a portal to the demon world so he could watch them destroy humanity, starting an age of chaos where survival was the main goal. Luckily he was still a fair and honorable player so when lost a bet where he wagered his life, he still went through with it (despite the character he betted with saying he didn't have to) and took it along with the means to open said portal.

I could see Sakyo feeling like Hazbin Hotel's Hell is what the results of his plans would have been, so I could see him being happier there then he was when alive, if not for a time. He would still be a gambler, which would be fun for him again since he was starting fresh without anything, and with his business skills and eagerness to kill would reach Overlord status. However I feel like he would give up such a title later on if it meant causing more chaos for him to enjoy watching. Maybe constantly fight against other Overlords and high ranking Hellborn demons.

He'd definitely be close with Alastor since they both at a time felt like their lives were very boring. And hey if he ever got bored again, the world of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss have easier ways for demons to get to Earth, so he'd probably have an easier trying to bring demons to Earth if he wanted to. Maybe he'll do it just to see Yuskue and the gang again XD.
