Description
Here is an image based on a Ratchet & Clank theory I made a few years ago. When I was replaying old Ratchet & Clank games to prep myself for Rift Apart, I noticed how the Loki (specifically the Loki Master) from All 4 One looked a lot like the Nethers from Into the Nexus. Along with how both species are made of purple/pink energy, the Loki Master's torso is very similar to a Netherbrute (seen on bottom right) while the head of the Loki Master resembles the small Nethersbeast seen in this pic and when Clank would lure one in his ITN levels, especially the jaw and only having one eye. Then there is the fact that neither species could survive long in Ratchet’s universe without some sort of protection, like protective gear for Nethers and a host for the Loki.
Now I'm sure this was to save time as Insomniac Games did re-use A LOT of content to make 3 games back to back, but I think it could be possible (and cool) if the people at Insomniac Games decided to make this theory canon one day.
The two race's history also could fit with the series timeline. In ITN it was stated that because of the temporal tear the Fongoids caused eons ago, portals to the Netherverse appeared throughout the universe. It could be possible that one of these portals formed on planet Toranux but something about Toranux made it so that the bigger Nethers could survive longer there than on any other planet, allowing them to eventually evolve into the Loki. This also wouldn’t really affect the series' continuity anyway considering that at the end (spoilers for All 4 One) the Loki are likely now extinct given that at the end of All 4 One Ratchet stated Croid and Nevo were going to destroy the Touranux shards containing them.
Do you think its possible that the two species are somewhat related? Do you think IG should make this canon? Leave your thoughts below.
EDIT: This is canon in the CommentVerse
