I'm a fan of Dexter Manning's work and its awesome that he is now making video games, such as Flappatron which looks fun but I like how the story is on brand with his style of comedy. To give a quick recap, Flappatron is about a guy name Nathan Flappatron who after seeing his ex-girlfreind get kidnapped goes on an adventure around Goonland to find and save her, dealing with goblins, psychopaths, gods, and all manors of goons along the way. The twist is that the king of Goonland made any form of violence punishable by death, so he has to fight them mentally, AKA ignoring his enemies enough till they get physically tired.

Since the world is very interesting I hope it can get a sequel one day and with some work I could see that happening. MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD for the game.

For a possible story since the game ends with Agatha (who was behind everything in the last game) getting arrested by her nephew the newly crowned King Lil Bish and knowing the Clinking Man use to work in the Goonland army AND was in a relationship with Agatha and though she was dead I could see him discovering that she is alive a breaks her and her son Lacey out of Goonland prison. With them on the loose and Agatha still wanting revenge, she decides to try and summon another god to destroy Goonland once and for all and King Lil Bish and Goonarella are key for her plans. This again makes Nathan have to save the kingdom again with the aid of his new friends, though it will be hard especially since the people of Goonland are at odds with each other already, especially between humans and goblins who Lil Bish allows to visit Goonland.

During the story we could see some subplots from the previous game come through like maybe have Fanny and Heads getting back together at the end, the Goddess of Banishment having to use her full power on Nathan when he and the others are legit banished to her realm, goblins and humans working together to stop the evil god, and Lacey turning against his mother and redeeming himself in the end.

There also should be some improvements to gameplay since the first game is mostly just shooting and dialogue, which isn't a bad thing for someone like Dexter Manning but I bet some additional stuff could help the sequel. One idea is being able to transverse Goonland willingly instead of just going from place to place off screen. It doesn't have to be big, heck a "click on a place on the map and you get there" thing would be fine. Another is being able to get power ups during combat like regaining health or if you shoot a certain number of bubbles without taking damage, your triggered gun can do a bit more damage.

Those are just a few ideas but what do you think? Would you want Flappatron to get a sequel?
