Revivified originally started off as more meta with the story and plot centering around me and my own characters, a little more on the nose to "Wes Craven's New Nightmare" and that entire concept.

The initial idea was that it was going to be MY characters that would be revivified before shelving the idea for 6 months and returning to it with brand new characters and concepts with a more digestible story.

Only Spit and Whitney were conceptualized at the time of what they would look like Revivified with Vark and Zane planning to be next but I eventually stopped after midway through Vark's conceptualizing and Zane never was realized with what he would look like revivified. I still really like these concept illustrations even if they are no longer canon nor will be used. It was fun envisioning my own characters in a more grotesque and paranormal light that usually I wouldn't normally be able to.

TL;DR - The original idea was that MY characters were gonna be revivified before I changed the characters and story to be independent. The only thing that remained was the plant motif.
