In response to Azkabel's demand, one familiar villager begins to voice his objections, only for two of the Bat-creatures to grab him by the arms and fly him up to Azkabel, prompting several panicked cries of "KANGULU!!!" from the other villagers.

Azkabel: SILENCE!!! I did not ask for opinions on my actions! Otherwise I shall make you a second example of what happens to those who disobey me!!

His point made, Azkabel brandishes his purple storm gem.

Azkabel: I shall ask this only once...Has any of you picked up a gem similar to this one? Any of you? I demand to know RIGHT NOW! Should you fail to inform me, not only will you be punished most severely, but you will also witness this poor soul being tortured before your very eyes! But you can save him...all you have to do, is tell me who has the other gem!!!

Although nearly immobilized with fear as he dangles from the bat-creatures' talons, Kangulu turns his gaze to the assembled villagers and subtly shakes his head.
