I just now realized that I didn't shade her cat tail. I might bring in an updated version of this in the future, but I've spent way too much time on this for how it looks right now.

The sketch probably took me about 15 minutes since I didn't shade it. After that, I decided it would be nice to ink something digitally instead of inking it with an ink and paper. This was my mistake, as the digital inking process took about 2 days, while inking it with a pen and paper probably would have taken me about half an hour.

When I started this I was using Photoshop CS3, when I finished I was using Photoshop CS4. I have found part of CS4 that I really, really, really like when it comes to cleaning up my stuff, and that is the ability to add a layer that would do visual effects such as contrast, brightness, and curves, and then turn that layer on and off. This was incredibly useful in cleaning up the work, since I just added a layer that turned Contrast to the max, and erased all of those little texture speckles that drove me nuts and didn't go away with an application of curves.

Really, this is for because he wanted something that he could look at and go "So that is what color those characters need to be." and now he has one of the two...The next one I'm going to ink in real life instead of inking digitally and it probably won't take a week to get up.

Also. I hate her nose in this picture. Please don't draw it like that. It was a mistake for me to draw it like that and I after several hours of digital inking I stopped caring enough to fix it.
