Today I had the privilege of discovering this little wonder of an iOS/Android game that is "Flappy Bird". If you aren't one of the many enlightened people who had to experience (or watch footage of) this game, may I suggest this video (WARNING: strong language, try this one if swear words offend you). For those who prefer a good old Wikipedia article, help yourself !
Yes, the pipes are a complete ripp from the Mario games. Nintendo needs to make an enemy like this in their games, in retaliation!
(P.S.: those who played the game, what is your score? Mine is 40 56.)
An hour and a half in Paint Tool SAI.
Flappy Bird belongs to .Gears Studio, Mario and Peach (and the pipes, yes!) to Nintendo.

YES i saw my brother playing this and was immediately alarmed by the sprites... which looked very Mario-ripped.

Really I didn't know about this game.... I think that they copied the pipes to win popularity, I read on Wikipedia and I surprised that people sold their cell phones...but, why? What's wrong with this game? It's beacause they will Flappy birds too?

Nothing is wrong with the game (Beyond the graphics being eerily similar to Nintendo's). Flappy Bird was Removed from the App Store, so people are selling their phones to people who didn't download it because they are selling at a price high enough to buy a brand new phone, computer, and car. Really, the game is just so popular that peope are capitalizing on it since it was removed. Also, if you are playing the flash game version it's MUCH harder than the app. High score on flash is less than 10 (3 days of trying), high score (on 2nd and last try) was 32. xD

I keep seeing this picture reposted places and it has been upsetting me so much.
It's such a shame that your art goes uncredited, it's really nice and colorful.
One of my friends actually posted this on instagram, with the comment "Lol!" and nothing else, and when I credited you in the comments, she deleted my comment. You might want to think about watermarking your beautiful beautiful art sometimes.

That's actually why I have been putting my website in here. I think we can agree on the fact that most people absolutely don't care about giving credit for the illustrations/photos they find online. Furthermore, users on websites such as 9gag and most Facebook pages who repost content even go as far as removing the watermark or signature from the original pictures. So I found a way to integrate my signature/website into the picture itself, in a discreet but still obvious way, so not to ruin the picture.
It's all about compromises, really. If I had put my signature in the while margin, it would've been long gone from the copies currently in circulation. I'm still researching to see what would be the best way to properly sign my work for social sharing...

Try not to get too upset. After all that's why he signs it and puts his web site on there.
People get to enjoy and share his work, and he gets some free advertising and his name gets out there. No sense in letting it drive a wedge between you and your friend. It's really such a common practice in this social media age.

I made it sound like it bothered me a lot more than it did. The sad part is, his signature was cut out of the pictures all of the times I saw it. Uncredited artwork is just one of my pet peeves.
