I don't know why, but I've grown fond of drawing the Mario princesses, lately. They're fun to draw.The concept behind this picture is inspired from an idea I had for a potential Mario fan comic, featuring all three princesses as protagonists. I don't know if I'm gonna do said comic though (too time consuming for me right now).
I really like how the lineart came out! Not only my improvements with the graphic tablet really show here (the lines are the smoothest, crispest I've ever made so far on Photoshop), but I really like the poses I imagined for each princess.

Edit on 2009/03/02: Made very small changes to the characters' designs, to fit with my current style. Furthermore, the file is now a .ZIP file containing the wallpaper in all resolutions below (in pixels) :

- 1680 x 1050

Looks like I missed this one the first time around. I love the individuality each of them have - to me not even Nintendo achieves this. Well done - I agree, the lines are clean and I'm jealous - I need to get a tablet!

Thanks! And yes, a tablet works really well!. It doesn't mean traditional pen & ink drawings CAN'T be awazing, though... personally the tablet just happens to suit me best.

No problem! I love my pen and paper - don't get me wrong, but I've just seen what can be done with a tablet and yearn for one. How is it for coloring?

It works absolutely swell on the colouring field. Some people use tablets strictly for colouring, and depending on the technique, it can make a big difference, when compared to a mouse. Personally, it doesn't make such a big difference using either the mouse or the tablet when colouring with my technique. The difference is mostly in speed.

Thats what I thought. I'm trying to sharpen my coloring prowess within the realms of Photoshop CS3 personally. I suppose I dont necessarily mind a mouse, but I can imagine how much more accurate a pen would be. Thanks for the info!

Thanks! I prefer this way of watermarking. I don't like putting ridiculously big signatures and/or logos all over the place and thus altering the view of the picture.

Actually this is an old wallpaper that I've revamped, I've done it a few weeks after I thought of the content of the story and a few months before I started to write it. So we could say I was getting a lot into the story even before I started working on it!

I do wallpapers too, and I'm always uploading three or four formats separately, then linking each one to each of the others. PAIN IN THE NECK!!! It never even OCCURRED to me to put them all in a ZIP! Heck, I didn't even realize I could DO that on DA!!! Oh, you have just made my life SO much easier. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

Lol, you're welcome! I also realized a few days ago you could do that instead of just having to submit like 5 times the same deviation with different resolutions (in my case, I was upping them to my website and supplied the links -- but it's still a pain in the ass). I also had a few modifications to do to this wallpaper (it's an old deviation I modified) so it was a good opportunity to reuploading it as a .ZIP archive.
