Description
[Next]You Mario fans have really been getting the treatment lately. In the past few weeks I did nothing but post Mario art!
This is the first page of a 5-page comic about the misadventures of a gifted, rejected Podoboo (the fire ball that jumps at you in castles in SMB1 and later games) who only wants to be friends with people.
Remember : English = not my first language! So sorry for the engrish if there's any!! Thanks once again to my sweetheart *lamarce , as she cleared most of it out.
If the picture is still too small for you to read, all you have to do is click the download button in order to view a slightly larger version of the page.
All characters and species there are (c) Nintendo.

This is great, Bourgy. That poor rejected Podoboo. Love the artwork too. Nice comic. I can't wait to see the other parts.

Best Mario related stuff since SuperMarioAdventures [and god did i love that]... though if you wanna get technical, best stuff since his appearance in Smash Bros Melee!

Nahaha, Koops. That's good.
I like the little glow they put off, and...it's cool that you're using a Podoboo, they really don't ever get much attention. She shouldn't be looking in Bowser's castles for friendly folks, though..

Yup, because that didn't work well so far for her.
Thanks for the comment.

Interesting and funny story. I never really think those Podoboos as living creatures in Mario's world.

Neither most of people do. I wanted to use a species that's never been used, as a change. I think it works well!

The adventures he had in Thousand Year Door probably left him a bit shocked.

It's both adorible & funny at the same time. You never really think of podoboos as being able to talk...

I could imagine these little fireballs as "living" things ever since I've seen their 'eyed' version in Super Mario World. Plus, there's not enough fan characters based on Podoboos. They just asked for it!
Thanks for the comment.

Haha! Nice!
Looks like Koops has more issues then we thought! Perhaps the Shadow Queen encounter has left him with some kinda post-traumatic syndrome?

Yeah, I'm really likin' all the Mario stuff! I can't wait to see the rest of this comic. And those are the cutest little Podoboo's I have ever seen! And the name Podobella is awesome! Great work so far!

Hehe thanks. I didn't want a name that would stir too far away from the name of the species, it's nice it turned out good!

Well the name sounds like something that Nintendo would think of. Like Goombella on PM2. So you did good!

Pour ton autre message, ironie du sort, ce smiley, malencontrueusement mal placΓ©, m'a, Γ l'opposΓ© de toi, fait sourire.

The way they look in the 7th panel makes me think if they're somehow related to blarggs
Nice work! Gotta see how this comic turns out ^^

Envy, just Envy that that Podoboos have...
But... OMG... i didn't know that they called Podoboos O_o... i just know that they calle Hotheads... I am feeling a ignorant -__-'. lol

TheBourgyman In reply to Xander24 [2007-06-04 03:47:38 +0000 UTC]
Hotheads are actually the large fireballs that rotate around platforms. These are the one you encounter in the second half of castle #6 in Chocolate Island and in door #4 of Bowser's castle in Super Mario World (yeah, I know all that by heart. I'm such a Mario geek).
Anyway, thanks much for the comment!

Well, yeah, i know that ... I am a Mario fan since i was 5 years old. But... OMG i think that the Podoboos was Hotheads... but yeah, i know that the "electrical" balls of the castle #6 of Super Mario World... i think their names was "Spikerl" or something... LMAO.
But i didn't play a long time Super Mario World, and i know that when i was more young, i passed SMW very times, and see always the Enemies' Slides... lol
