By the way, what really does those Mini Marios do? hm? I haven't played the game yet.

They just follow you around and jump when you do. They defeat enemies when they land on their hands, but they die (in the old Mario games' fashion) when they run into a enemy.
They're nice to watch when you get them the first time, but then you realize they're not really useful throughout the game.
