Problem with that statement is that she didn't know Daisy fused with their retro self. All she knew was that Daisy changed but it wasn't due to some merging between the two.

At THAT moment (not this BTW), she never knew about how Daisy got to be so popular. We may still be upset about Peach even though they aren't but you gotta be fair and understand that she didn't know New Daisy was a combination of both her past and modern self.

So the retro universe was daisy imagination were she fuse together with a past version of herself she imagine so when peach wish for her to go back to her former self it cause the two daisy to separate

Not at all. It was just reminding them (and us) what her wish was as she's trying to figure out why her wish gave them two Daisy. Plus she doesn't want to be reminded that she screwed up royally with her wish and almost lost her friend as a result. It's still upsetting to her.

She already learned a thing or two in this episode. And both Daisy and Peach forgave her for what she did and aren't really holding this against her (at least not yet, probably). LOL
