No guesses as to what I used to play as a wee little sprog.I needed to make a bigger, badder Interstel ship for NS because a character rolled really, really well for resources. This thing here is, like all Interstel ships, modular.
It also gave me the excuse to break out the straightedge, set square, and compass and rock it oldschool. I never did drafting professionally, mind, and haven't done a by-hand three view in a decade, so I'm content with the results.

Mostly the eye is drawn to the clean smooth flowing primary outline and an almost voyage to the bottom of the sea seaview cetacean meets super guppy feel this image screams classic late 70s early 80s science fiction RPG source book with well executed technical graphic image composition and projection.
