Bounding through the open tundra fields with reckless abandon Winnie made no move to slow or stop. She cast herself fearlessly over perilous canyon dips, and never once faltered upon the rocky out cropping’s that separated her from the vast expanse of open buffalo grass. Her body stretched out like a spear, muzzle shoved forward into the wind, cutting it as she ran with paws reaching out and propelling her with every rising speeds. Winnie’s sights were on nothing but the sky, until something shivered bellow her paws and then like rockets a flock of Hermit Thrush sprung from the cover of the brush and flicked their wings open wide in panic. Winnies entire body responded with huntress glee. The muscles of her hind legs bunched up at her haunches, and then she sprung. Her entire massive body plunged forward through the air, lips curled back to reveal feral teeth that gnashed and ripped across the backs of the fleeing birds, calling them to her with the demanding force of her powerful jaws. It was all over in a moment. Each bird fell to earth under Gwendolyn’s might, and she stood over them prancing with absolute pleasure in her accomplishments.
