If you already follow me on Tumblr, you would've already seen this.But I'll now be posting a different character for each day of an animated walkthrough of the colouring of each character from this piece
Here's the Thor I drew.

Awesome, looking forward. You have a very unique rendering style and I really like seeing the "step-by-step" versions of how people go about their process. I always find it interesting how many artist do the shades first, then etch the light source in, whereas I work in an opposite fashion.

I actually work highlights first also, but saved the GIF in a different order to show better effect, heh

Wow really? That's really interesting. Sounds like you zero in on the light source's strongest point first, then etch away the rest from there? I should try that sometime. I always work with a base color, then I picture where my light source comes from, then paint the shadows in to give it form, then drop highlights. I've never really tried it the other way around.
