Description Full-Colour commission for of his original characters.

Based on a written description, I did my best to depict the piece.

Had fun w/ this one.

funny that even though i was looking @ lots of sunrises to get the sky looking proper, it kinda looks like a sunset.
heh

ohwell, no harm done

Great drawing as always, and I love the colour choice, but one thing stands out. The lines around the characters draw them forward, even past the foreground reeds. If you lightened up the lines on the sunny side of the bot, it'd fix this methinks. You've already put some line highlights on him and it looks awesome, but the edge line flattens an otherwise stunning pic.

Your attention to the little details in cloth and robot design continues to amaze me.

i see what you mean, but i did try that.

i could lighten the line up, but would prefer not to go back to correct it as i'm satisfied w/ the outcome as is.

otherwise, thank you for your input!

ddue, that is hot as hell. I think this one really caught my eye the most out of all the other drawing you have done. Just because this one, in a weird way tells a story. Its artsy in a way, that i can sort of come up with my own story though it might now be what you wanted, its what i am feeling. Great stuff man, i like it

You should definitely check it out - it's an amazing film starring Christian Bale. I haven't seen it in a while but IMDB gives it a 7.9.

Great piece by the way! I love the blurred foreground, it gives it much depth...

the longest part in this one was actually figuring out how to do the wheat/grass.

but yes, several hours.

somewhere like 7 - 8 including breaks

i mention pencil, so no
actual linework's are drawn traditionally w/ a pencil on paper.

what was done in PS are colours, and wheat/grass

erinmid In reply to joelrodriguez [2007-09-26 00:08:11 +0000 UTC]

wacoms are pretty hard to get used to in general at first. it's just a matter of practice, since the feel of it is so different from a regular pencil
